KI 2636 Outdated Mac

(updated )
You are seeing this message because your computer is running an outdated version of macOS and can't be updated to a supported version due to outdated hardware.

In order for us at the IT department to be able to administer and provide user support on your computer, a newer version of macOS is required.
The IT department supports the last three versions of macOS at all times.

The computer in question has outdated hardware and cannot be updated to a supported version of macOS.
For security reasons, computers that no longer support a supported operating system can no longer be used at UiB and will eventually be disconnected from UiB's network.

The IT department can provide advice if it is appropriate to purchase a new computer, but your unit is responsible for purchasing. It is also important that you make a backup copy of all the data on the computer before purchasing a new computer.  This means backing up files to OneDrive, etc.
